Mario Star Wand
thingiverse
I crafted this wand specifically for my little one, who was utterly convinced that a light switch extender by Bingbingaling was actually a magic wand. I tweaked out the star and then added a sturdy rod to transform it into a trusty wand. To withstand the inevitable rough handling from a 2-year-old, I opted for a robust 100% infill, which also helped conceal the visible layers of the semi-transparent glow-in-the-dark filament. The consistent glow throughout was a must-have. Additionally, I scaled up the design to 120%, and tilted it at a 45-degree angle on the bed to maximize its impressive size. Support structures were carefully employed, as the wand rod floats slightly within the star, allowing for a subtle elevation of the star on both sides.
