Mario Question Box

Mario Question Box

Create a Super Mario Brothers question-mark box with your coins or use it to hide a mushroom or fireball inside. Recently, a 3D-printed version was designed to replicate this iconic block. The creator broke down the design process, starting with the base box template and virtually punching out a grid of dots representing the correct pixels. However, they realized that any pattern could be placed on the side, leading to the idea of turning it into a template for others to create unique designs. Download the attached STL file if you want the question-mark box or customize your own by editing the OpenSCAD source file or using the provided online variant generator at netninja.com/fun/mariobox. Note that photos may appear misaligned due to a print head upgrade and ongoing extrude setting optimization.
