Mario Live ramp for step
thingiverse
We love our Mario Kart Live. Super fun.. but, our house has a step up area that takes up a large part of our living area... So, who wants to buy a ramp when you can just print one out. I doubled the size so it is easier to hit at speed, and two carts can drive side by side if need be. It's a modular design, and I'm posting ALL the parts needed to print the double version even though some are duplicates that way you'll know exactly what is needed to print it all. To save filament and give the ramps extra traction for the Mario Karts, I used 5 walls, 10% Honeycomb infill, and then on most parts used 0 top and bottom layers. I also strengthened up the areas around the rivets/holes with either extra infill(50%) or top layers. I think the custom extra infill around them worked best. Also, all the rivets have holes through them that fit an M3 bolt, so, if they do break off and you don't want to glue or 3D pen fix them, you can use M3 bolts to hold everything together. might need washers as well. Including the .step file as well. I've printed them in both PLA and PETG, and both work well. if the rivets are too tight(there is 0.2mm clearance in the model) either warm them up or sand them a little. I mostly just beat them in with a rubber mallet... and if they broke(prototype...) I just got out the 3D pen. This is a functional design, and I definitely wasn't going for pretty. Pics are from slightly earlier version that doesn't print as easily as the current version. Supports on this version are only needed on the top section of the ramp for the lip that sits on the step.
