I wanted brightness in my star, so I customized item: 1174471 to be able to attach programmable LED-strips around the edge of the star. LED-strip is secured in place with clips that are put on supports for each led. I also designed a ring so it's possible to mount LEDs in a circle in the middle of the star. The back plate clicks into place, no need for glue etc. The star is designed for the D1-mini to be mounted along with a push button in the lower part of the star. The star will be powered by a mini-USB plugged into the D1-mini. It's also possible to use an old USB-cable to power the star with 5V directly soldered to the LED-strip. This cable can also be used to hang the star in a window etc. I'm using the fantastic WLED software to control the LEDs, it has all the options you need to control your LED-star. Printed with 100% infill, supports on button-clips and D1-mini-bar Part list: • D1 mini V3 (control board) • 5V WS2812 LED-strip (30bits/m) • Tactile Push Button 12x12mm and cap • ZH 1.5mm 3pin connector • USB cable (power) • 2mm screw (for securing D1-mini)
