Mario Lakitu Spiny Egg
thingiverse
Remix of @bpitanga Lakitu model to be used for a cosplay. I increased the size of the spiny egg (red spikey ball) and added dowel style pins to hold the ball together. The individual parts can be scaled. Current sizes are optimized for a Prusa Mini. Assembly is pretty basic. Strong epoxy or a similar adhesive will be needed. 1. Print both ball halves. Print 12EA of the spikes. Print 5EA of the pins. 2. Epoxy the 5 pins in one half of the ball. 3. Apply epoxy on the other end of the pins and press the other ball half over them. 4. Epoxy in the spikes. I did these 1 at a time with the ball resting on a bowl/cup to keep the current spike upwards because gravity would move them off-center. Thank you and enjoy the print!
