Mario Fly Trap Plant Pot

Mario Fly Trap Plant Pot

This pot is for Venus Fly Traps. I created this in Fusion 360 and I used the visuals of a few designs from thingiverse and an internet search. It has been awhile so I do not remember which designs I was looking at. Search for "Mario Plant" and you can find other ideas. I visited a few plant pages to find the size I should use. It looks a bit oversized to me. I printed at 100%. With 15% infill the tube was about 21 hours and the base was 9. The tube has drain holes and the base has tabs to keep the tube slightly above the bottom. The base also has small rounds to hold the tube in. If you want to make changes I would suggest adding more room for water in the base. Also the drain holes are not centered, I got frustrated and gave up trying to fix that. I printed the tube upside down with tree supports on the inside and they failed. Upright with support might work better. I printed the base with no support and layers in the lines drooped (see photo). Tree supports in Cura may help. Printed on Ender 3 with some random PLA + filament.
