The Marinefährprahm, commonly known as a Flak Lighter, was the largest landing craft fielded by the German Navy during World War II. Although originally developed for invading Britain, these boats served in various roles with multiple armaments. They were used as gunboats, transports, mine layers and escorts. Variants of the Marinefährprahm were also built by Italy, initially intended for the proposed invasion of Malta. However, this plan did not materialize and the boats were utilized for other duties. I have two variants of the D Type available. The first is the standard Marinefährprahm, which retains its transport capacity. The second is the Artilleriefährprahm variant, designed as a specialized artillery version. Files included: Marinefährprahm - armed: This file features an armed version of the standard Type D Marinefährprahm. Marinefährprahm: This file depicts the same boat, with all armaments removed for separate printing. Artilleriefahrprahm Typ D3 - armed: The armed variant of the artillery model is featured in this file. Artilleriefahrprahm Typ D3: Similar to the previous file, but with all armaments stripped out for separate printing. 37mm Flak Gun on LM42U Mount: A 37mm flak gun intended for the raised platform on the Marinefährprahm. Naval 37mm SK C30: A naval 37mm gun designed for the area in front of the bridge on the Artilleriefahrprahm. 88mm SK C35: An 88mm gun intended for both versions, with two guns featured on the Artilleriefahrprahm. 20mm Flak Gun Twin Mount: A twin 20mm flak gun intended for the rear of the Marinefährprahm. Quad 20mm Flak Guns on Quad Mount AND Quad 20mm Flak Guns on Quad Mount - raised: Four 20mm flak guns, two at the fore and two at the aft, were intended for the Artilleriefahrprahm. The second file features the guns slightly elevated for added variety.
