Marinefährprahm - Flak Lighter (1/300)

The Marinefährprahm, commonly known as a Flak Lighter, was the largest landing craft fielded by the German Navy during WWII. Although originally developed for the invasion of Britain, these boats served in a variety of roles, with a variety of weapons. They found use as gunboats, transports, mine layers and escorts. Variants were also built by Italy, initially for the proposed invasion of Malta. Again this did not take place and the boats were used for other duties. I have two variants here, both of the D Type. The first is the normal Marinefährprahm, which retains transport capacity. The other is the Artilleriefährprahm variant, which seems to have been a specialised artillery version. Files included: Marinefährprahm - armed: The armed version of the standard Type D Marinefährprahm. Marinefährprahm: The same boat as above, with the weapons stripped out for separate printing. Artilleriefahrprahm Typ D3 - armed: The armed version of the artillery variant. Artilleriefahrprahm Typ D3: As above, but with weapons stripped out for separate printing. 3.7_cm_M42_on_LM42U_Mount: 37mm flak gun intended for the raised platform on the Marinefährprahm. 37mm_SK_C30: Naval 37mm gun intended for the area in front of the bridge on the Artilleriefahrprahm. 88mm_SK_C35: 88mm intended for both versions (2 on the Artilleriefahrprahm). 20mm_Flak_Gun_Twin_Mount: Twin 20mm intended for the rear of the Marinefährprahm. 20mm_Flak_Gun_on_Quad_Mount AND 20mm_Flak_Gun_on_Quad_Mount - raised Quad 20mm flak guns intended for the fore and aft of the Artilleriefahrprahm. The second file has the guns somewhat raised, for variety.
