Marie Louise Gonzaga (Polish: Ludwika Maria) was born on August 18, 1611, in Nevers and became Queen of Poland by marrying two brothers, Władysław IV and John II Casimir. They were Kings of Poland and Grand Dukes of Lithuania. Her father was Charles I, Duke of Mantua, and her mother was Catherine of Guise. As an energetic woman, she supported monarchy and religious persecution, which made her unpopular among the Polish court and nobility. Despite this, Marie Louise managed to stay involved in the Commonwealth's politics, leading to the establishment of the first Polish newspaper and other public institutions. She is remembered alongside Bona Sforza as one of the most influential queens in the Kingdom of Poland and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. 3D scans were produced using an Artec Eva with the goal of creating a digital representation that closely resembles the original.
