Maria Fjodorovna Barjatinskaja, a Russian Princess from 1793 to 1858, was immortalized by Bertel Thorvaldsen's plaster sculpture in 1818. The statue stands at an impressive 180 cm tall and is identified by reference number A172 at the Thorvaldsen museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. Crafted with precision using ReMake and ReCap from AutoDesk. In 1818, Princess Maria Barjatinskaja traveled to Rome alongside her husband. It was on his suggestion that she posed for sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. The marble masterpiece took shape between 1821 and 1825 but was never officially delivered during her lifetime. Following the Princess's passing, her family requested possession of the statue, only to accept a replica created by H.W. Bissen, a renowned Danish apprentice of Thorvaldsen. Today, this magnificent work is housed within the walls of Moscow's Pushkin Museum. For the latest updates on historical figures and sculptures, follow GeoffreyMarchal on Twitter @GeoffreyMarchal.
