My Mares Jacket is nearly flawless, except when I'm diving with my drysuit the weight becomes too heavy for the plastic clip and it can suddenly release...I created this custom support system for my Mares Scuba Jacket to distribute more weight. For me, it's essential that the clips function exactly as they should (SAFETY FIRST!). The clip remains secure when it should, releasing only when manually opened. If you use these supports, ensure that you can still easily open the clips. Also, keep in mind that this support is not a permanent fix.
