Marcus Aurelius stands proudly atop the equestrian statue in Rome's Capitol building, a figure from before 1187. The Roman Emperor, born around 170-180 AD, is immortalized in the Royal Cast collection at Copenhagen's Denmark museum. This masterpiece was crafted using Memento Beta, now known as ReMake, courtesy of AutoDesk. A renowned leader, Marcus Aurelius ruled Rome from 161 to 180 AD. He shared power with Lucius Verus until Verus' untimely death in 169 AD. The last of the so-called Five Good Emperors, Marcus Aurelius brought stability and peace to the Empire during his reign. His military campaigns proved successful, as he defeated a revitalized Parthian Empire in the East, with General Avidius Cassius capturing the capital Ctesiphon in 164 AD. Meanwhile, in central Europe, Marcus Aurelius led his armies against the Marcomanni, Quadi, and Sarmatians with great success during the Marcomannic Wars. However, the threat of Germanic tribes loomed large, casting a shadow over the Empire's future. A revolt in the East, led by Avidius Cassius, was swiftly suppressed.
