Marco Polo II insert
thingiverse
I'm working on Marco Polo II: In the Service of Khan, a sequel that's distinct from my previous insert for Marco Polo. I've learned a lot since then and this one is a more refined design. Keep the original box insert in place to prevent everything from shifting around too much inside. Unfortunately, even with smaller cards, the overall height of the insert exceeds the available space in the box after accommodating the board and other components. As a result, the lid doesn't close completely – by about 2-4mm. My goal is to streamline setup and teardown. The printed inserts don't hold destination cards, the start marker, or black dice; instead, there's a designated spot for storing them in a bag within the box. This design choice contributes to the issue of the box not closing due to the full-size cards.
