On March 24, 2018, students across the nation led a massive march to end gun violence once and for all. "Not one more innocent life should be lost," they shouted in unison. "We refuse to stand idly by while children are slaughtered at school." "We cannot tolerate one more teacher being forced to choose between saving their own life or risking everything to save their students." "We will not rest until every family is spared the agony of waiting for a call that never comes." These brave young people have made it clear: they will no longer live in a world where schools are considered safe zones. They demand action, and they demand it now. The mission statement of March For Our Lives reads like a battle cry: "Our schools are unsafe. Our children and teachers are dying. We must make saving these lives our top priority."
