Marblevator, Baby Steps

Marblevator, Baby Steps

cults3d

A miniature Marblevator boasts an intricate design with knobs at both ends, allowing for easy clockwise and counter-clockwise operation from either hand. Following a viewing of the prototype's multicolored steps, my wife humorously suggested the name "Rainbow Roll," drawing inspiration from sushi. I prefer to stick with Baby Steps, however. This Marblevator model utilizes 8mm ball bearings as marbles, adding to its unique charm. A video showcasing the prototype is available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeF4z9jjIDE The design was crafted using Sketchup Make 2015 and printed in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2 with settings including .2mm layer height, 2 shells, and 10% infill.
