Marblevator, Armed (but not dangerous!), With Curves
cults3d
Nothing to see here, just a different path for this project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:633979. A video of the prototype is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaU_-vEGtZ8. This path works best with 2 "marbles" using the recommended power supply set at 4.5 vdc and the suggested motor as instructed. I'm exploring different approaches to path design, and this was an interesting intermediate phase for me, as I enjoyed the repetitive sound it produced. The prototype of this path was printed quickly, resulting in a rough appearance, but it functions well. As seen from printing at high speed, a little sanding and filing are required to refine it if you print yours at this speed. Designed using Sketchup Make 2015, and printed in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2 with Makerware 2.3.3.42 "Standard" Settings (.2mm layer height, 2 shells, 10% infill) at 200% print speed (only because it was late and I was tired).
