MarbleElevator - Spiral Staircase
thingiverse
I'm showcasing my innovative marble elevator demonstrator here today. Check it out in action: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzWcdLH8XcMcDHO28YEF-xlPWmG5SjJiw This elevator has to seamlessly integrate into the center of an existing spiral staircase, which presents a challenge since the opening is only 49mm in diameter. The design should mirror another spiral staircase where marbles ascend upwards. My previous attempts using plywood failed miserably. I had to meticulously cut thin parts, but they were inherently fragile and couldn't withstand any stress. In contrast, this design employs sturdy 1.5mm kraftplex material and performs flawlessly. Please pardon the makeshift cardboard marble run; it was hastily constructed without any formal drawings. Its sole purpose was to rigorously test the motorized lift over an extended period of time.
