Marble Run

Marble Run

thingiverse

My partner Anish and I came together and decided that we wanted to create a unique and different automaton that nobody else was thinking about doing. We saw some other marble runs on Thingiverse, but it seemed a little too complex for this class so we decided to bounce ideas from that and make it our own. We created a large and very tall marble run where the ball is always moving. It ended up being a very difficult, long, and taxing process, as we were one of the last groups to finish, but in the end, the finished product was completely worth it. The marble would be placed at the start and with cranks from the handle the ball would be lifted upstairs all the way to the top. From there it would fall down the two walls and into another runway where it would lead it back to the start. We had a ton of redos and edits to make it run correctly and flow the right way, but we ended up getting it to work. We had to make the bases of the automaton very large and wide which need a lot of filament. But in the end, I am proud of my work and love the creation that we made.
