This portrait bears a striking resemblance to those of Matidia, daughter of Marciana and elder sister of the emperor Trajan. Strands of hair appear to be expertly woven into a braid-like pattern through the double crescents that form the artificial hairpiece surrounding the face, showcasing an intricate design. However, the structure is significantly lower than on many official images of Matidia.
