123D Design came highly recommended and then I find out it's being phased out, what a bummer. Anyway this is my first attempt at 3D design. Got any tips? Please leave them here, I'm so new to this I'm still in the 3D infancy. I meant it to have text that wrapped around part of it that could be customized to say whatever you'd like but I couldn't figure out how to make that happen, so expect changes. Ultimate goal was to make a small pillar-looking decoration, on top of which one can attach a marble. The resulting gadget could then be used to spruce up a fairy garden, your desk, or my original goal: the rodent cages. The critters rarely appreciate touches like this unless they dispense treats, or can be hidden under or climbed upon, but it amuses me to decorate their cages so I do. If I ever learn how to do this in any useful way, the treat dispensing/climbing features won't be far behind... 2.0 version uploaded, original files kept so I can keep track of the progression while I'm learning.
