Marble Machine
thingiverse
I've updated the Marble Machine by Linax with some minor adjustments that greatly enhance its overall performance. Given my 8" (200mm) printer's limitations, I had to make significant modifications to the right track to get it to fit on the print platen, but it was worth it. The other components of the machine fit perfectly fine on an 8" printer, although they do require a bit of careful planning and rotation by 45 degrees for optimal printing results. One notable improvement I've made is integrating the lobe wheels with the spacer, which significantly improves their alignment on the shaft. This was achieved through a clever design that incorporates stepped shoulder bearings - two of them to be precise - ensuring everything stays perfectly in line. Finally, my motor cover has been tweaked to fit snugly onto the base, making it a more cohesive unit overall.
