<p>This is a Christmas tree, but it is also a marble machine !<br/> Every turn of the star, 9 christmas marbles race down the tree ! You can watch it in action here : <a href="https://youtu.be/YUAoQCp8TZc">https://youtu.be/YUAoQCp8TZc</a></p> <p>It is really simple to make, only three parts to print are needed !<br/> It does not require any screws or tools. You just need to have 60 balls of 6mm in diameter. They can be easily found on your favorite online store.</p> <p>It can be printed if you have a build volume larger than 15x15x17 cm (XYZ). It fits on a Prusa Mini.</p> <p>To pimp it up, you can print the star and the elevator in a bright color.<br/> If you have the MMU, you can print it in multiple colors : you can choose a different color for the tree and for the three raceways.<br/> If you don't have the MMU, you can use a 3D-pen to customize it ! It's a lot of fun to do with children !</p> <p>I have included the f3d files so you can make modifications if you want to. You can also use it as a base to create another marble machine !</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>No support are required at all ! It's an easy print.</p> <p>For the three parts I used :</p> <ul> <li>3 perimeters</li> <li>3 walls</li> <li>3 top/bottom layer</li> <li>15% infill </li> </ul> <p>For the tree, you don't need that much infill : 5% is more than enough.</p> <p>For the elevator, I recommend you to use a brim since it is a tall and narrow part.</p> <p>For the star, print it lying on the bed (as in the picture) !</p> <p>Happy printing !</p>
