Marble Bust of a Priest

thingiverse

During Hadrianic Period (A.D. 117-138), an intricate statue portrays a priest with a distinctive headdress - a rolled fillet topped by a raised, circular diadem. The thick chest band on his folded toga signifies him as a devotee of deity Serapis; the original artwork also featured a seven-pointed star on the diadem. This priceless piece is part of Shelby White and Leon Levy's collection (L.2007.8.5).
