Marble Bas-relief Tombstone (Napoli)

This magnificent bas-relief tombstone vividly depicts the Canons of the church, situated prominently in the "Basilica di Santa Restituta," closely associated with the iconic "Duomo di Napoli" (cathedral of Naples). Dated 1475 at the top left corner, it is a testament to the craftsmanship of its era. Crafted from pure white marble, this beautiful piece stands proudly in front of the altar, where countless footsteps have worn down the surface over time. Yet, despite the wear and tear, the relief remains strikingly clear; I have even subtly enhanced its appearance to make it more visually appealing.
