Archaeologists made an exciting discovery in the excavation site, unearthing a set of ceramic pieces that revealed an intriguing association: a regal figure seated on a throne - eerily similar to the main character who accompanies a ritual plate - and a turned-over bowl filled with turtle and other animal figurines, as well as various anthropomorphic figures, several of which were placed atop the character's head. Joel Santos warns that the seat or throne of these figurines has a bejuco-like design, remarkably similar to the entwined vines found in modern-day equipales manufactured in Jalisco, a striking similarity that has piqued interest because these items are still used today by marakame (Huichol priests) to preside over certain ceremonies.
