Maraca (shaker) - a timeless Brazilian instrument born from traditional roots. Deeply intertwined with the spiritual practices of native Brazilians, this instrument embarked on a journey that would soon span across all of South America and eventually the world at large. Designed specifically for FDM printers, this printable version brings the maraca to life in a low poly style format. Perfectly safe for kids, its rounded edges ensure a fun experience without any harm. Simply fill with rice or beans by pausing the print between 30-40% completion - check out my video example using rice and another one using beans. I personally printed this model using PLA at 0.2mm layer thickness with walls measuring around 2mm and an infill of 20%. Avoid printing it hollow and refrain from adding supports, as they are completely unnecessary. Now, get ready to enjoy the authentic sound of your handmade maraca!
