MaraBox - a mobile MP3 player designed for kids aged 18 months and up. This device is controlled by RFID-enabled figurines, cards, or other items based on the TonUINO. The MaraBox features a wood grain bamboo exterior that provides a pleasing look and feel, while the plastic casing showcases an eye-catching Neopixel 24 LED ring. The assembly process involves threading sleeves into the wooden lid, which holds together with threaded rods and screw-on caps for easy access to the electronics. Most of the electronics are housed in the detachable bottom plastic inlay, while the Neopixel ring is nestled inside a three-part assembly in front of the speaker. For detailed instructions on parts, software, and design guidelines, visit Thorsten's website at https://www.voss.earth/tonuino/. A step-by-step guide to my build can be found on the community forum at http://discourse.voss.earth/t/vorstellung-marabox-bambus-3d-druck-neopixel-ring/4608. Notes for makers: * This version of MaraBox requires some post-processing and hot-glue workarounds due to limited wiggle room in the design. * The apertures are well-placed, but may need adapting if you change components or design your boards differently.
