The Tactile Map of Central UNESP Campus Area Developed by students from Design Center at Federal University of São Carlos (Unesp), a tactile map provides people with visual impairment access to spatial knowledge about an urban context. Designed with a clear hierarchy of information, this map shows main points and secondary points in the campus area where users might interact in real life situations such as crossing roads, going into shops, using restrooms, finding bus stops or attending to emergencies in the city. With three sheets and dimensions of 800x1200mm, tactile markings identify paths for pedestrians on campus sidewalks, roadways and building walls with detailed labels about each place and its respective importance in navigation.
