Map-Iron Age Cart-Burial
sketchfab
Archaeologists from MAP Archaeology combine models from three stages of excavation to visualize the Pocklington Iron Age Cart Burial, unearthed in 2018. This composite model showcases two horses buried upright, along with the burial situated on what is believed to be the cart's body. Beneath the skeleton lies a dark area of organic material - likely leather - which was positioned on top of a large shield. The wheels and axle assembly are clearly visible, though the lower section is partially obscured due to being recorded in situ.
