Many Use Thing
thingiverse
The Many Use Thing, designed in Sketchup, serves multiple purposes such as Dremel collet tightening/loosening, a 3/8" Socket Driver, a 1/4" Socket Driver, and a 1/4" Socket holder for bits. To use it as a Dremel collet tightener, slide the tool over the flat part of the collet and twist while squeezing the arms with your thumb and forefinger. The 3/8" and 1/4" drive shafts are meant for sockets; after printing, trim excess plastic and force a socket on and off to "break in" the tool. The central hole is 1/4", allowing it to be used as a handle for bits. Photos can be found at this Flickr link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/23450595@N02/sets/72157626847828041/, and a video demonstration is available here: http://youtu.be/c26OSuSRPE4. Be aware that raftless printing may cause the bottom layer to squish out, so trim any excess plastic on the drive shafts for proper fit. The design dimensions include a 10mm square for the 3/8" driver and a 6.4mm square for the 1/4" driver; changing the height in editing could affect the size of these drivers.
