This is a protective spacer and support for Nalgene-style water bottles used with the King Cage Many Things cage. King Cage's Many Things cage offers an excellent way to carry odd objects on your bike, but it can damage Nalgene water bottles when attached using the attachment bolts, causing gouges and chafing. The bottle's curvature also prevents it from being well supported by the vertical rails of the cage, especially when King Cage's Universal Support Bolts are used to attach cages to suspension fork legs, with self-locking nuts protruding more and significantly damaging the bottle. This support piece fits into the cage to protect the bottle from bolt heads, providing good support for the bottle as well. It is specifically designed for Nalgene-style wide-mouth, 32oz/1-liter bottles with a 92mm OD. There are two notches in the support to accommodate zip-ties, keeping the support from coming off when the bottle is removed.
