This is a CARtoony take on the iconic VW kit car, the Meyers Manx dune buggy. Its stylized design is inspired by the art of legendary Dave "BIG" Deal and modern artist Micah Claycamp. First, I borrowed the body from member rwinscot's original creation. To give it a more cartoonish look, I widened it and then channeled it down the center before merging the two halves back together. Next, I used the wheels from my previous project to add a fun touch. The rear wheels are extra cambered in, giving them a silly stance, while the front wheels have been leaned and ovaled for added visual interest. To complete the design, I incorporated smoke elements from my CARtoon Mustang project. This mash-up of parts was a lot of fun to create. However, I've had trouble printing this model on my setup, and I suspect it may be a problem specific to me. If anyone else is able to print this correctly, please try it out and post your make!
