Mantiz Venus is a super popular EGPU case featuring an integrated USB hub and SATA port, but it only comes with one 2.5-inch SSD holder inside the box.\r\nAfter installing a Crucial MX500, I discovered that the actual transfer speed is severely limited at around 300-MB/s, and even with this slow speed, the disk and graphics card became unstable because SATA data and the graphics card's PCIe data are competing through the TB3 lane.\r\nSo, it makes more sense to use a low-speed HDD as a Time-machine backup disk. And here is the solution: a 3.5-inch HDD adapter for Mantiz Venus.\r\nInstallation is pretty straightforward:\r\n1. Attach the left and right holders to the original 2.5-inch SSD plate using screws.\r\n2. Screw that plate back into the box.\r\n3. Align the 3.5-inch HDD screw hole with the small arrow on the holder and clip it in.\r\n4. Connect the wire, and you're done!
