The Mantis Walker is a two-servo walking robot that I designed, and the build instructions are included as a PDF. This robot uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect and avoid obstacles in its path, as shown in this video: https://youtu.be/DYIM6IqTc4Q. To build the Mantis Walker, you need to print out the body, battery holder, and legs, then follow the instructions carefully. I have included the Arduino sketch and the wiring diagram for the electronics is also available in the PDF. Here are the print settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25 Infill: 25 To assemble the Mantis Walker, you will need the following parts: The electronics I used for this project cost me about AUD$13 and can be purchased from eBay. Here is a complete list of the parts I used: * Printed body, battery holder, and legs * 8 x 4G 6mm machine screws * 2 x Tower 9G micro servos (which come with servo horns and screws) * 1 x ultrasonic range finder * Jumper cables - male to male * 1 x 9v battery * 1 x 9v battery clip * 1 x piece of perfboard * 1 x Arduino Nano * Female header pins or nano socket * Male header pins (need 3 + 3 + 4) * 1 x PCB switch (optional) * 1 x PCB battery header male and female * Hook up wire (preferably single core)
