Manta Ray "E2S Open" Cap
prusaprinters

By far, the Manta Ray shield remix by Joel Telling is my favorite shield frame out there. The problem I have had was that when using the easier-to-stack "e2s open" design, you lose the overhead shielding from the original design. This is what I came up with to solve that problem.

This is super easy to print, and it actually provides better overhead shielding than the original "3D Verkstan" shield, as this extends out over the flexible hinges as well. If you're looking for a way to keep the overhead protection in place while printing the faster design, this may be the ticket.

Print instructions

Print with at least two walls and two top and bottom layers. You can set the infill to whatever you want, but 0 was fine for me. When it prints out it will pressure fit in the opening of the e2s open shield and stay put.
