Mansholt Gravestone

I stumbled upon an intriguing gravestone at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, the oldest burial ground in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The imposing pedestal, draped with intricately tied tassels on two sides, supports a sturdy bookrest and open tome. It wasn't until I created the digital model that I could decipher the words printed on its pages: "To Rest," inscribed in German as Zu Ruhe. Upon closer inspection of many other epitaphs, I noticed a similar trend. What struck me most was how much easier it was to read the text at full resolution through the model, compared to when I was physically standing in front of the stone.
