Mangle Wheel and Pinion
thingiverse
This mechanical movement transforms rotary motion from the pinion into oscillating rotation of the C Gear, as illustrated in "507 Mechanical Movements." Watch a demonstration at http://youtu.be/DzJzle83oas. To assemble your model, printed with ABS at .2mm layer height, attach each part as needed. If necessary, glue the square end of the "C Gear Shaft" into the "C Gear," and do the same for the "Pinion Shaft" inside the "Pinion." Place the "Pinion" through the "Frame's" slot and fasten the "Crank" to its square drive. The distinctive up-and-down movement of the "Pinion" will rotate the "C Gear," which in turn reciprocates back and forth. Enjoy your spinning creation!
