Manfrotto 200PL
thingiverse
To work as a Manfrotto 200PL quick release plate, I modified Thing 153978. This plate is compatible with any Manfrotto head utilizing the RC2 system and fits perfectly on my older Manfrotto 3160 head. The Manfro200PL.thrd.stl has a threaded hole, ensuring that the thumb screw shaft won't fall out as it's not threaded at its base but turns freely. Meanwhile, the Manfro200PL.Padeclip.stl features a large hole with no threads; an e-clip retainer holds the thumb screw in place. I printed it with 40% infill and seven shells, printing right side up with support to keep recessed areas on top for the e-clip and rubber pad (inner tube) tidy. However, printing upside down with support might be better as it allows easy removal of trivial support from the top surface. The long dimension of 53 mm ensures a snug fit in the tripod head; however, you may need to shave off a corner for easier insertion. As ABS printed plates are less strong compared to metal ones, using them with large video cameras or huge lenses is not recommended.
