Mandorle

The term mandorle comes from the Italian "mandorla," which means almond. It refers to a figure in the shape of an oval or almond that contains sacred characters: most often Christ, but also the Virgin Mary or saints. Work by Régis Pochelu (2013 - 200 cm), sculptor born in Hasparren in 1970. His studio is located at Château de Garroa in Mendionde in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques, France (http://www.regispochelu.com). His works are made either in Cantabrian clay or La Rhune clay. Since the sculpture is not yet public domain, the author does not want this photogrammetry to be downloadable.
