Mandible Bone

Mandible Bone

thingiverse

The human subject's mandible, or lower jaw bone, was modeled using a CT scan with 460 slices, which was then converted to an STL file via Slicer 3D software. The resulting model was successfully printed on a Dimension SST 1200 ES 3D printer. Upon camera functionality restoration, real images of the print will be shared. Meanwhile, the procedure for replacing a damaged mandible includes removing the patient's existing jaw bone and mandible fragments, followed by surgically inserting the new mandible in place.
