Mandalorian Thigh Armor
thingiverse
**UPDATE 1/23/21** I was able to print this today and uploaded the pics. There was some infill pillowing as you can see, but I just need to add another wall or 2. Settings: Cura Slicer Anet A8 Plus with SKR 1.4 TURBO + 2209 drivers 0.6mm nozzle LH- 0.4 LW- 1.0 Wall Count- (The pics were with 2, recommend 3 or 4) Infill- Gyroid> 5% Density Adhesion: Brim 8mm width Support: I used a 50% overhang and also added a tower support in the center to be extra safe. Most likely this can be done at 60-65% overhang with the just the one tower.Support Density: 2% Material: Obviously will be different depending on yours. I used Snapmaker PLA White @ 205/65 Ext/Hotbed. I wanted to print an entire set of Mandalorian armor but I didn't find any on Thingiverse that was either working or matching the tasset, or thigh piece. So I designed one myself on Fusion. I measured it to my thigh which is an average size so you may have to rescale it to fit you in your slicer. I don't have any pics of a printed piece yet as I am in the process of upgrading my MB on my Anet a8 Plus and I am waiting for the mosfets to arrive. I will upload printed pics once I get it up and going again. I didn't add any holes since there are many ways to put it on your cosplay clothing. I plan on putting some button snaps on the back and on the pants and just snap it together. For minimal supports I would stand it up on its end in the slicer. Download includes one thigh piece. It can be resized as well to have 2 of different sizes like worn on the show or just make 2 the same size since Mandalorian armor all varies in design from warrior ro warrior. Enjoy and please share pics if you print!
