Mandalorian Helmet(Solid)
thingiverse
I was determined to create an exact replica of the Mandalorian helmet's exterior. I scoured every possible source but couldn't find a single solid model that fit my needs. Undeterred, I decided to piece together six distinct models from various downloads, trying to remember where each one came from. The interior space was carefully crafted using 3D Builder on Windows 10. By strategically combining spheres and cylinders, I utilized the program's split and subtract features to fill the helmet's complex shape. This was a challenging learning process, but I persevered. I uploaded two different sizes: a 50mm tall model and a 75mm tall one. The bottom layer sits perfectly flat, while the top layer benefits from a 15% infill percentage, which prevents excessive PLA strings from forming during printing. If you prefer a more solid print, you can increase the infill to 20%.
