Mancraft Receiver Light Protection for Gate Units

Mancraft Receiver Light Protection for Gate Units

A friend of mine is using a Mancraft M4 Skeleton receiver together with a Gate Titan as FCU. Since the Gate (Titan / Aster) utilizes optical sensors for different detections, it gets distracted by light that shines into the body accidently. So the trigger and the fire selector were not working properly (sometimes) due to the skeletonized receiver. To counter that issue I designed a slightly oversized cover. The cover needs to be hammered in place - please use something like a Softening Hammer ("Schonhamer" in German) or similiar tool. The cover will not fall of / out during games because of that. From our experience you only need to cover the left side (see pictures with green cover) but the design fits the right side, too (see pictures with grey cover). It is meant to be 1.8 millimeters thick. This is the maximum. Any thicker and it would stand out or interfere with the gearbox. Maybe you want to resize it in your slicer to be only 1.6 millimeters thick to be absolutely sure.SketchUp! file is included as usual in case you need / want / like to modify this.
