Mana Pillar - MTG: Arena of the Planeswalkers
thingiverse
Hey guys I recently bought AotP (MTG: Arena of the Planeswalkers) and it brought back a lot of memories from my time playing Heroscape. The front box shows Chandra fighting Jace from some pillar, but it's not included terrain in the set! I wanted to make paper craft versions with this but I needed a visual first. On the box, it's pretty clear that there are different designs on some pillars, but only two are shown. The uploaded AotP.Mana.Pillar.1 is actually three pillars in the background, and I'm still working with the one Chandra is standing on. I also included a blank file so you can create your own design using editing software. How I Designed This The height is based on AotP cryptoliths from the Innistrad Master set, as well as an average hex size for Heroscape/AotP. This resulted in a square pillar with dimensions of 3.5cm by 9cm. Still working on custom rules for AotP, here are some suggestions: Scale: same as cryptoliths A figure adjacent to a Mana Pillar may move to the top space by counting four spaces of movement. Mana Source: At the start of a player's turn who controls a planeswalker currently on a Mana Pillar, roll a 20-sided die. If the result is 16 or higher draw an additional card this turn and deal one damage to that Mana Pillar.
