This shark fin sits neatly atop the original top plate, ensuring the quad lands safely and prevents complete upside-down landings. Its primary function is to shield the VTX antenna from damage while also lending extra protection to it. A small hole at the bottom of the fin allows a zip-tie to pass through, securing it firmly to the top plate and boosting its structural integrity. Although not strictly necessary, this addition was made for added reassurance. Both the 4" and 5" frames utilize the same top plate, making this fin compatible with both models.
