Constructed at 1 arcsecond resolution from SRTM data obtained by the Space Shuttle, yielding around 3 million polygons. The terrain map was created using an untested version of SRTM2STL. Accessible source code for producing files at a 3 arcsecond resolution is available on github under the GNU license. Search for SRTM2STL on github. Instructions Consider printing this design in small scale, as it tends to warp when made with PLA. Large designs often warp significantly, making big Raised Relief Maps difficult. Despite some success with large maps, you may have better results controlling warping techniques.
