Human: Internal cuneiform bone from the foot of an adult Shropshire Mammoth. A Shropshire Mammoth is any species of the extinct Mammuthus genus, one of many proboscidean genera. Various species of mammoths were equipped with long, curved tusks and a covering of long hair in northern species. They lived from around 5 million years ago in the Pliocene epoch into the Holocene at about 4,000 years ago. Different species existed in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Mammoths were members of the Elephantidae family, which also contains modern elephants and their ancestors. Imaged using a Canon 5DS R with a Stackshot 3x turntable to provide 108 images. These images were then processed at high levels using Agisoft Photoscan.
