Mammoth refers to any species of the extinct genus Mammuthus, one of several genera that comprise the order of trunked mammals known as proboscideans. The various mammoth species were typically equipped with long, curved tusks and, in northern species, a thick covering of long hair. They roamed the earth from around 5 million years ago during the Pliocene epoch into about 4,000 years ago in the Holocene, with several species found in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. As members of the Elephantidae family, they are also related to modern elephants and their ancestors. This model is created from 152 images captured using a Canon 5DSR camera, processed with stackshot and turntable technology. The images were then refined through high-level processing in Agisoft Photoscan.
