Mamiya Universal Press camera adapter plate lets you attach whatever you want to the back of your Mamiya, and I'm still experimenting with the FFD on this one, so stay tuned for updates if I find a thickness that works better. If you're curious about medium-format or open-source cameras, the Mamiya Universal is a great place to start - they're relatively affordable and one of the key selling points was their versatility with different backs. Something worth knowing about the Universal is that there were lenses designed specifically for covering large areas on film (good news depending on your plans), made to work with Polaroid backs, the Mamiya-Sekor "P" lenses will do you right if you're getting vignetting, and the 127/4.6 lens outperforms the 75/5.6 in this regard.
