The Mamluke Shield was meticulously crafted by combining historical references into a single, cohesive piece. The shield's various components, including its front and rear surfaces, metal parts, and supple leather strips, were expertly modeled within Blender. Each component was then textured using Substance Painter, with three distinct texture sets carefully created to capture the shield's intricate details. These five PBR textures - base color, roughness, metallic, height, and normals - work in harmony to bring the shield to life. The front side boasts a realistic painted steel finish, while the back side is elegantly adorned with rich leather.
